In today's religious and political environment a growing number of "prejudices" are being mistakenly being labeled as "facts" and "beliefs." I came across a very short paper for a writing course at Colorado State University, which provides some very useful definitions of the above words. The professionally engineered "prejudice traps" that are dominating 30-second sound bites only work on an uninformed audience.
